My son, over the telephone, what he wants to know, if he goes “unconscious”, is it ok, or at least should it be ok to not feed him? I try to remember what I thought about when I was four. I try to remember what I was figuring out. I don’t know. I don’t have much to say. It just bothers me is all.

I am the author of Animal Rights and Pornography, a collection of short stories published by Soft Skull Press in September of last year. My short novels, Bloodletting and Fruits of Lebanon, will be available from Lit Pot press in March of this year. Incidentally, none of this is real. This is an exercise in creative writing. Even the me that writes it is imagined.
